Where am I??

So what does it mean when all you look forward to at work is lunch, 5pm and Friday?? Hmm...I'll just assume everyone does that, and then it will make me feel better! Speaking of, I had lunch at Freebirds today with Kristin and it was FABULOUS! I love that I almost ALWAYS run into someone I knew in college! It's almost like a mini College Station! By the way....it's almost FOOTBALL TIME!!!! I'm so excited. I better go to at LEAST one home game at Kyle Field this year! Watch out Big 12...here we come!!!

(I don't know who that is, by the way)

Tonight I'm going to see "Must Love Dogs" and I'm super excited! It looks really cute so I hope I'm not disappointed! Gotta love romantic comedies!!! I think this weekend is going to be pretty low key and I'm actually looking forward to that (except for the possible trip to Six Flags).

I may actually get a vacation this year! A friend of mine decided to get married in Las Vegas the weekend of Sept. 23-25 so I'm booking that sometime soon! I LOVE VEGAS!! I LOVE VACATIONS!! I LOVE VEGAS!! You're so money!!!!

OK!!! That's all folks! Have a fantastic weekend!!!!

Thursday should be the new Friday...

First of all, I totally thought today was Wed. when I started writing my title! SO...now I'm totally relieved that tomorrow actually IS Friday! Holy Moly, I CANNOT wake up this morning. I was on the phone last night for like 2.5 hours...I haven't talked on the phone for that long in forever!

So I am proud to announce that I was one of the 5 bajillion people waiting at Barnes and Noble last Friday for the midnight release of Harry Potter! My friends gave me such a hard time...but some of those people made me feel like a normal human being. I didn't get dressed up, get my face painted, participate in the trivia contest (although I could've won) OR scream when the first book was handed out. Actually, I was in line at Starbucks when the first book was sold and I heard people scream. On a side note, why the hell were some people dressed in Star Wars garb?? I mean, is that the only costume you had and you feel like you HAVE to dress up? So confused!!!! Anyway, I've started the first couple of chapters, but I'm trying to finish my other book, Wicked, first!!

I finally booked my flight to go home in August for my cousin's wedding! I'm really excited b/c I LOVE our family weddings! It's like a huge party! Downfall: no date...again! Ok...not going into that...it makes me sad! BUT, a good thing about the wedding means that I get to treat myself to a new dress. I've been doing some searching to find what I want...here are a few samples!

Ok...need to get some work done today! If something REALLY earth shatteringly exciting happens then I will post later!!! Have an awesome day!

OH - say a little prayer for those in London...God bless them!

So...

Nothing overtly exciting, but thought I'd write anyway! I went to see an early screeing of Wedding Crashers on Monday and it was a hoot! I totally recommend this movie! It was non-stop laughter from the very beginning. A little crude, but I loved it!

So, I signed my lease for my new apartment the other day! Same complex, new apartment. Since I'll be living alone, I'm downsizing to a one bedroom with a study! I figure I can make the study a library/guest room! That way when ALL of my friends and family come to visit, they will have some place to stay! (HINT: COME VISIT ME!!!)

Ok, before I totally bore whoever is reading this to death, I'll stop now! So...what's the plan for this weekend???

TGIF

So I've gone pretty much the whole week (if you count 4 days a week) and no entries! Yep, that's right, NOTHING exciting is happening! I AM excited that it's Friday again, though. I thoroughly enjoy sleeping late, playing with my puppy and laying by the pool all day long, with not a worry in the world! And since my cell is broken, I will have no phone calls all weekend either! That would be a problem if I was expecting any important calls! But I'm not, so hooray for a quiet 2 days!

Is it just me, or did Papa Roach go through a style change? I swear that first song they came out with a long time ago was nothing like their new stuff! I didn't like them in the beginning, but now I'm really into it! ROCK YOUR FACE OFF!!! haha...just wanted to throw that in there!

If anyone is in the mood for a new book, I totally suggest Wicked! It's the story of the wicked witch of the west and it's so awesome. I'm in such a hurry to read it b/c I want to see how it ends, although we already know, obviously! I'm in a little apartment book club and this is our first book! The musical is coming to the Dallas Summer Musicals so I'm hoping once we finish the book, we can go see the musical! So excited!!!!

Isn't this the cutest puppy you've ever seen in your life??? SAY YES! haha! This is Preston...just wanted to plaster his face all over the internet!

Ok, I'm going to finish up my work for the day and head out to Razoo's for a drink...or 3!!! Have an awesome weekend!

Back on the horse again

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy Canada Day!!

Ok, so it looks like I'll be writing in the morning before work gets crazy since I'm too lazy to get a computer for home! So yesterday was a little better as the day went on. My paycheck went through this morning and after calling everyone I know who owns a dog, I'm a little more comforted that my dog will not die from fleas...but I still have to go put gas in my car after work! But today already looks better just b/c I got to sleep a little later and still had time to get everything done this morning. Not to mention the fact that I discovered that "Saved by the Bell" not only comes on at 6am (which I'm never awake for anyway), but also has 2 back to back episodes at 7 and 7:30am! That totally made my morning! I love me some Zack Morris!!!

So I was given a book yesterday by a friend of mine that I totally suggest for any girl/woman who thinks that they can't read men! Can I get an AMEN?! It's called He's Just Not That Into You! Wow! Pretty harsh, but a great way to open my eyes. I mean, it's not anything I haven't heard of before, but it helps to have it thrown in my face every now and then to remind me not to make excuses! Basically it says, if he's interested, he'll pursue. No guesswork! Maybe I just always assumed it was supposed to be this hard! Hmm...something to think about!

Here's a great little excerpt from the book to give you a little taste if you haven't already read it...

He says: "Oh sure, they say they're busy. They say that they didn't have even a moment in their insanely busy day to pick up the phone. It was just that crazy. All lies. With the advent of cell phones and speed dialing, it is almost impossible not to call you. Sometimes I call people from my pants pocket when I don't even mean to. If I were into you, you would be the bright spot in my horribly busy day. Which would be a day that I would never be too busy to call you. "

She says: "There is something great about knowing that my only job is to be as happy as I can be about my life, and feel as good as I can about myself, and to lead as full and eventful a life as I can, so that it doesn't ever feel like I'm just waiting around for some guy to ask me out. And most importantly, it's good for us all to remember that we don't need to scheme and plot, or beg anyone to ask us out. We're fantastic. "

I'm so excited it's already Friday! Not that I have any major plans, but I'm happy just hanging out with my pup! Sunday I'm going to a rooftop 4th of July party, so that should be fun! Today I'm having lunch with the girls! I really want to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith and War of the Worlds sometime this weekend, but we'll see how that goes! Now that I feel like I'm rambling, I'll go ahead and end this entry! Hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll have more news (hopefully exciting) on Tuesday (3 day weekend, here I come)!
